The Texas Rangers are completely different teams at home and on the road in 2025. Their home record is 6-1, and their road record is 3-6.
At home, the team has an ERA of 2.71, while on the road their ERA balloons to 4.80. The comfort of Globe Life Field is really effecting the team so far in 2025.
It’s difficult to win if you can’t hit, and the Rangers struggles there are well documented. I wrote an article about it earlier today on Dallas Sports Nation.
Pitching struggles are going to happen when you have young players in the rotation, and then injuries to boot.
No Jon Gray, no Cody Bradford, no Jack Leiter. Instead they have Kumar Rocker, who is still finding his way and not doing a bad job.
They had Patrick Corbin start a game. They haven’t set their rotation yet for the home series.
It doesn’t seem to be a problem at home, where all their numbers are better. Offensive, Defensive and pitching.
Seattle has always been a tough place for the Rangers to win for some reason. They are 169-209 there.
They need to bounce back against an Angels team that is playing some good baseball at the moment. An Angels team that is first place in the AL West.
We will at least see Tyler Mahle and Jacob deGrom during the series, based on days they last pitched. With the day off they can play with the rotation a bit.
Don’t lose hope Rangers fans, the best is yet to come.
