In a trade that apparently nobody saw comming, the Angels have aquired Vernon Wells from the Toronto Blue Jays for Mike Napoli and Juan Rivera. This is an upgrade for the Angels, and a good move for their organization in my opinion. Wells has always hit well against the Rangers, and I do not see a reason why that would change now that he is on a rival team. Wells will make an impact against the Rangers, and I look forward to seeing if the Angels add anyone else before the season starts.
Also, reports that Vlad and Baltimore are close to a deal are said to be false by the GM of the that team. I will keep you posted if I hear anything else.
