Great news for people like me who were big fans of Vladdy last season. The Rangers and Vlad are still talking about bringing him back to the fold. He would be a great player off the bench, and I for one would be really happy to see him back. With Kinsler yet to make it through a full season, and other infielder needing to rest or going through cold streaks, I think he would get a lot more playing time than is envisioned at the moment. Vlad was one of the reasons the Rangers made it to post season play in 2010, and he could really help the Rangers get back in 2011. With more rest during the season, I think that Vlad could be hitting his stride around post season time, and that would make the Rangers ever tougher to beat. If that could happen, the Rangers would have one of the most potent offenses in the league. Think about it for a moment.
1. Elvis
2. Young
3. Hamilton
4. Beltre
5. Vlad
6. Kinsler/Moreland
7. Cruz
8. Torrebella
9. Borbon/Murphy
Batters 1-7 would be stacked on most days (this lineup is in no way official, it is just off the top of my head). I would really like the Rangers and Vlad to come to terms, and I hope it happens sooner rather than later.
