Everyone on the web (specifically on Twitter) keeps saying that Michael Young may be heading to Toronto. He is not. I am confident of that fact. The Rangers are doing fine financially, and they do not want to trade away the face of the franchise. Nolan Ryan stated today, according to @swamp21fox on twitter, Michael Young will be our DH. Why would the Rangers go out and get a power bat off the bench to help solidify the team only to trade away the only guy qualified to play 2nd, 3rd and short stop. Do you really believe that the Rangers have confidence that Mitch Moreland will turn out to be one of the best 1st baseman ever? Do you really think the Rangers believe that Ian Kinsler will make it through a whole season for the first time in his career? They have a chance to have a team that is filled with the kind of depth off the bench that most other teams only dream about, why would they trade away the guy in the center of that? I am sure that they will not do that, and I truly believe that I will not be proven wrong. So for all you people speculating and wishing and saying that Young is going to be on the move, you have the right to keep on wishing and saying and hoping that, and I reserve the right to tell you that you are wrong. Young is staying. And that is that.
