The Rangers have now run all 5 of their starting pitchers out, and a majority of their relievers. What have we learned from this? We have learned that the Rangers pitching is really good. Darvish struggled in the first two innings last night and the Rangers offense picked him up by scoring 11. Tonight, we saw 2 young pitchers on display, and both pitched really well. Neftali, however, gave up one less run than Beavan and got the win. The pen was unhittable for the 4th time in 5 games, and Nathan threw just one bad pitch in the Rangers loss. This is the best pitching staff, overall, that the Texas Rangers have ever had. Now don’t get me wrong, there will be ups and downs in the season, there always are, and there will be games where Holland, Feliz, Harrison and others will get hit hard and lose bad, but the first time through the Rangers are almost unhittable as a club. Granted all of their games have been at home and against the White Sox and the Mariners, but arn’t those the teams that you are supposed to beat? I say this is going to be a great Rangers season, maybe the best season ever to go along with the best pitching staff ever. And, don’t forget, they can hit as well. This is going to be fun!
