So, in case you some how missed it, Josh Hamilton hit 4 home runs tonight in Baltimore. He also hit one last night in his last at bat, giving him 5 home runs in his last 6 at bats. I would say he is now locked in. The Rangers have been struggling to score runs on this road trip, but they broke that streak last night scoring 14 against the 1st place Orioles. Josh joins names like Mike Schmidt, Willie Mays, Lou Gehrig and 12 others to have hit 4 home runs in one game. “It’s just an absolute blessing from above. I have always wanted to hit three in a game, I have never done that, so I thank the Lord I hit 4.” Josh said after the game. Amazing to see. I know that lots of Rangers fans agree with me when I say sign Josh to a long term deal very, very soon. It is just amazing to me when I think that he cannot do anything else to amaze Ranger fans, he goes and does something like tonight. Josh may be the best pure hitter in the game right now. Tim Kurkjian called him the best player in the game on TV tonight. Josh Hamilton also had 18 total bases in tonight’s game, which is an American League record. Never happened before. Another thing that is hard to remember right now is that the Rangers were really struggling a couple of days ago, but the attitude of this team is to never get to high and never get to low, and Josh looked like he was not to high after hitting 4 homeruns in a game tonight. So enjoy the season, people, it is going to continue to be a good one, and hope at some point the season includes a new contract for one Josh Hamilton, because, he is amazing.
