In case you did not know it, tonight is the MLB draft. The Rangers just picked in the first round and they got Lewis Brinson out of Coral Springs High School in Florida. Brinson is a 6-4 center fielder with a great arm and 5 tool potential, according to Jason A. Churchill. Brinson played in the 2011 Under Armor All-American game, here is a video from that game.
Brinson is reported to be athletic and raw, and to have a very smooth swing. Brinson’s stats:
BA: .473
OBP: .623
SLUG: .873
FLD %: .926
Looking forward to hearing more about him in the coming days and I will share what I learn with you all.
