The Rangers lost 21-8 to the Mariners and I thought they had hit their low point for the season. Then they lost two out of three to the Angels, and left over 30 runners on base in the 3 games. And I thought it could go no lower. Then, last night happened. To give up 12 runs (2 of them a product of Craig Gentry pitching the 8th inning) to a team who has a team batting around .220 and averages less than 3 runs a game is the a new low. This Ranger team is lost, and they need to find themselves quick. I have no confidence in Derek Holland to turn it around tonight. Bad defense makes for bad pitching. I guess the only plus we can take from last nights game is the fact that the Rangers did not make any errors. The Rangers appear to be a team that bought into the hype that they were the best team in baseball. The problem is , they were. They just are not anymore. Right now, they are not even close.
