The Rangers were dominated last night by one King Felix, and then today Matt Harrison returned the favor by dominating the Mariners in the rubber game of the series. Matt threw a complete game and won for the 12th time this season, a feat only done so far by David Price (Tampa Bay), Matt Harrison (Texas), R.A. Dickey (NY Mets) and Gio Gonzalez (Washington). Matt is coming out as the Rangers most consitant and best starter from the first half, as he is my award winner for pitcher of the first half, if I had to pick one. The Rangers won another series today, and now have a record of 54-35, and a 5 game lead over the Angels. Up next they have another division rival in the Oakland A’s, and it is another series that the Rangers should be able to win. And to be honest, I am not worried about Darvish in the least. So the guy can’t pitch against the Mariners (1-2 with a 9.00 ERA), I promise you he will not be facing the Mariners in the post season, so he picked a good team to struggle against.
