Before we all start overreacting and panicking over the way the Rangers lost last nights game to the Indians, lets remember something. You play to win the series. The Rangers have done a lot of playing to win the series lately, the have won 7 of their last 8 series, including teams that may be post season opponents. Joe Nathan had saved 31 games in a row before throwing up a stinker last night, so lets not throw the Rangers closer under the bus just yet. All last nights blown save means is that it is time for Joe to go on another save streak, and hopefully this one will take the Rangers all the way to the World Series.
The Rangers are now on to the last part of their schedule, all division teams. Seattle 6 more times, the Angels 6 more times and the A’s 7 more times, including the last 3 games of the regular season. 19 more games, all division. This is going to be a great finish to the season. The Angels are practically out of it, which means they are not totally out of it yet. The A’s just won’t go away, which means that the Rangers need to play some good ball this month. They have done that so far, but now is the stretch that counts. Head to head is now the deciding factor on who makes it to the post season as the division champs and who makes it as a wild card or gets left out all together. I really look forward to the next few weeks of baseball and getting ready for another October run! Go Rangers!!
