As we all recover from what was a really bad Texas Rangers game last night and, lets face it, what has been a bad last 2 or 3 weeks of Rangers baseball, it kind of feels like a really bad hangover. 3 weeks ago they were the best team in the American League and maybe in all of baseball, and now their playoffs are over. It ended so fast that we never really had time as fans to enjoy their third straight post season appearance. We as fans also are angry today at some of our own players including Josh Hamilton, Ian Kinsler and Derek Holland just to name a few. And I think that is okay, for now. But, once our hangover wears off we need to remember that this team, after not making the post season for 11 years, has now been the last 3 years and shows no signs of slowing down. Now, the off season questions start. Will Josh Hamilton ever play in a Ranger uniform again? Will Michael Young be here or will he get traded away? Who is going to be in the rotation next season? Will the Rangers to after another starting pitcher or a big bat to replace Hamilton? All these questions will be answered before March of next year, when we will all be excited again about Rangers baseball. So lets morn over this one for little while longer, and then let’s start our offseason watch and get ready for another glorious season of Texas Baseball!
On another note, I would like to say how awesome it was to talk with all of you on Twitter, Facebook, text and anywhere else we may have talked during this season. Rangers fans are truly the best and talking with you guys was almost as entertaining as watching the games themselves. So thank you all and be sure to keep in touch during the offseason. You guys are the best! No matter what, we do still love our Rangers!
