The Rangers have hired former Red Sox hitting coach Dave Magadan to be their hitting coach for the 2013 season. Scott Coolbaugh will be offered another position in the Rangers organization. Magadan coached the Red Sox from 2007 till 2012 and had them in first or second every season in most major offensive catigories. It was obvious to me and many other Rangers fans that a change was needed at hitting coach, and this seems like a good for for the Rangers. More to come later on him.
