The Rangers have signed two different minor league players over the weekend. One is first baseman Jose Ruiz, the other is pitcher Dave Bush. Bush had a good run in Milwakee a few years back when Mike Maddox was the pitching coach, so the reuniting of those two might be a good thing for the Rangers. Bush was 8-13 record with a 4.54 ERA over 31 starts, striking out 107 batters and walking 65 in 174 1/3 innings. He has a chance to really be a stal for the Rangers in he can show them something in spring training. Bush is invited to spring training and we here at the Ranger Report are very interested to see what he can bring to the Rangers this season.
Ruiz is a 29 year old left handed 1st baseman who defected from Cuba in 2009 and was on the Rays last season, and we are also ready to see what he will bring to the team.
