The Rangers have had a run of bad luck lately. Matt Harrison is out for most of if not all of the season, Colby Lewis and Ian Kinsler have both had setbacks in their rehab, and they have lost three games in a row. Fans are disconcerted with Michael Kirkman and Jason Frasor. It looks bad, but trust me, it’s not.
Jurickson Profar is doing a good job while Kinsler is out, and I really like watching the kid play. We all know he is going back to the minors as soon as Kinsler is back, and I understand why. The kid needs to play. He is only twenty, after all. If he stays with the big club, he will only play once or twice every 8 to 10 days. That will not help him.
The Rangers need to break their three game losing streak today. Former Ranger Brandon McCarthy takes the mound for Arizona against the Rangers Justin Grimm. Grimm is going for his third victory in a row. The offense really needs to get going today against McCarthy. I think it will. If you get the chance, enjoy some day baseball today.
