The Rangers looked like they might lose yet another game last night when Lindbloom gave up a bases clearing triple to Carlos Santana, but the offense finally came alive. Jeff Baker is on a historic pace as far as home-runs per at bat, and Lance Berkman took another ball deep in the Rangers 6-3 win.
Josh Lindbloom gave the Rangers a quality start and the bull pen did what it seems to do most of the time and shut down Cleveland. Just like that, the Rangers losing streak has been turned around. The Rangers have now won two in a row and they have ten games left in this home-stand. Kinsler is beginning to practice and is hopeful that he can be back by the end of this home stand. Profar has been very good in Kinsler’s absence.
The Rangers send Derek Holland to the hill tonight for the second game in this three game series against the Tribe, and he has been pitching good of late. I hope that continues. The offense seems to be doing better now that they are back home, and I also hope that continues. Somehow, the mishmash of pitchers have been working for the Rangers. I also hope that continues.
