Today is a day to celebrate freedom, eat a lot of unhealthy food and watch some baseball. First off, may you all have a safe and happy Fourth of July weekend, and may we all remember that we live in the greatest country in the world!
But back to the baseball part. The Rangers seem to have a problem in this 2013 campaign: they can’t beat the bad teams. The Rangers just finished a stretch where they won the series against four teams that are all above .500, and now they lose a series to a sub-500 division rival. This could be their Achilles heel this season, losing to the bad teams.
They have a chance to win one for America today at home in front of what should be a loud and proud Rangers crowd, and I hope they can pull it off. What worries me is that they have the last place Houston Astros coming into town next, and with they way they are playing against bad teams, they may get blown out in three games against the Astros. Lets hope they read this and get mad at my sarcasm and do something about it. Lets face it, the Athletics are not going anywhere, so the Rangers need to beat the teams they are supposed to best, especially when they have a 2-1 lead on King Felix.
They will sort it out, I just hope they sort it out sooner rather than later. Rangers, please beat the teams your supposed to beat, or it means a lot less when you beat the teams your not supposed to beat,
