The Rangers asserted themselves this weekend and put themselves right back in the hunt for first place in the West by winning the three game set against the Athletics. Derek Holland had another of his brilliant starts in the rubber game on Sunday.
The Rangers are now just two and a half games behind the A’s for first place in the West. The problem going forward is that Nelly is probably going to be suspended tomorrow and Matt Garza tweeted something really dumb Saturday night. I have a strong feeling that Nelly is going to go ahead and take the suspension tomorrow. It will make me sad, he has had his ups and downs but overall he was a good Texas Ranger.
The Rangers go to the spiraling Angels, and I hope they can keep the good times rolling.
