The Rangers knocked off the Brewers last night in comeback fashion, and now lead the American League in come from behind victories. Joe Nathan is having himself quite a season as the Rangers closer, but that was not the big news of last night. The big news is the fact that the Astros, for the second day in a row, defeated the Athletics. The Rangers now have a two game lead in the West, thanks to the Astros.
They say any team is good enough to win on any given day, and we all know that is true. The Astros, who were just swept by the Rangers, seem to have gotten it together, at least for a few games, and Rangers fans are very grateful for that. If the Astros can sweep the Athletics today, the Rangers will have a 2.5 game lead heading into this weekend. I always enjoy it when the Rangers get help from unexpected places, like Houston for example.
The Rangers have Seattle this weekend and then Houston again, and hopefully they will have cooled back off by then! Enjoy the off day everyone!
