The Rangers are two game behind and struggling to buy a hit at the moment. Does that mean the season is over? No. Am I suggesting they are guaranteed a post season spot? Not at all. All I am saying is that the race is not over till its over. If we have learned anything from last season, it is that a meltdown at the top can happen at any time.
The Rangers are currently two games behind the Athletics, and they have three coming up against the Athletics this weekend. The Rangers need to take care of business tonight and tomorrow, and go into this weekend two games or less behind. If they can do that, I believe they can take the lead back. Even if they don’t, they are still in good position to win the West.
The season is far from lost, but not as far as it was three weeks ago. The Rangers need to tuen it around now, before it really is too late and we are once again asking what happened during the offseason. I believe they will, and I sure hope I am right.
