Derek Holland threw a complete game shutout last night, but that was not the most impressive thing that happened. The most impressive thing was Alex Rios’ four at bat cycle. Rios hit a double the first time to the plate, an single the second, a home run the third and a triple the fourth. He accomplished all of that by the sixth inning. Rios was quoted after the game saying the important thing is that the team won. Their goal is to make the post season, and they all know they have to win at least 4 of the last 6 if not 5 of them.
I still believe the Rangers will be on the outside looking in when it comes to the post season, but it doesn’t mean i am not going to enjoy this last week of Rangers baseball. And who knows, they may just surprise me and get in after all. But lets not get overconfident after last night, it is the Astros after all.
