The Rangers had their first elimination game today. If they lost, the Indians clinched a spot. They didn’t, the Rays did and the Rangers are now tied with the Rays for the second Wild Cars spot.
The Rangers have their second straight elimination game tomorrow, and they have Yu Darvish on the mound. It is time for Yu to show Rangers nation that he is the Ace of this staff. This is a must win for the Rangers, if they win, they are guaranteed a 163 game against the Rays. People might wonder why Yu is pitching tomorrow instead of saving him for the post season, but if you think about it, if the Rangers don’t win tomorrow, there is no post season.
Whether or not the Rangers make the post season, it has been one hell of a baseball season. They took fans through highs and lows and even had this blogger calling them out of the post season just a short week ago. They are not out, nor are the down anymore. It would be a perfect way for the team that leads the majors in come from behind wins to make the post season, coming from behind Cleveland and Tampa Bay to win one of the Wild Card spots. Tomorrow is the post season, and if the Rangers don’t play like it, they won’t be playing in it. Either way, I am thrilled with my baseball team and the passion they have showed this last week of the season. Lets hope the season doesn’t end tomorrow. Lets Go Rangers!!
