The Rangers have made a lot of moves during this off-season so far, all of which can be checked out at the place I am spending most of my time writing now a days, NolanWritin.com. To sum up for you though:
The Rangers traded Ian Kinsler for Prince Fielder.
The Rangers let David Murphy walk and sign with the Cleveland Indians
The Rangers traded Craig Gentry to the Oakland Athletics for Michael Choice.
The Rangers acquired Shin-Soo Choo from free agency
The Rangers are not going to sign Nelson Cruz to a contract, and he will most likely go the the Mariners.
Believe it or not, a lot happens during a baseball off-season and I am grateful anytime you take the time to read what I write, either here or over at the other site. There is still a few months to go until the Rangers show up in Arizona for spring training, and there is still work to be done. But for the next few days, it is time to think about our friends and family and be happy and celebrate the birth of our Savior and eat way too much and give and recieve gifts. So we here at the Ranger Report would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year and hope that all of you are well and enjoying this time of the year. I will be here when you are ready to reand more about the Rangers, but for now, give gifts and be at peace. The Rangers are doing things, and we are writing about it! So Lets get ready for a very exciting year in Texas Rangers baseball with some of the new additions, lets debate who the fifth starter should be, who the closer should be, who the lead off batter should be, and anything else we can think of to debate. Merry Christmas and Lets Go Rangers!
