Tanner Scheppers was told to be ready to either start or close or go back to his regular role in the bull pen as the set up guy. So Tanner has had a lot to think about during this off-season. My belief is that Tanner will be back in the role of seventh inning setup man in 2014. Tanner had some good numbers in 2013 in the role of set up man and I would like to see him continue in that role in 2014.

I look for Tanner to have another successful season in 2014. We all know that he had some trouble in Cleveland during the season and we will never know what actually happened there, but the truth is as long as he has the results on the field that he had in 2013, fans are not really going to care what happened there. If Scheppers can get into 70 plus games again and have an ERA of below 2.00, then he will be the start of the shut down part of the back of the Texas Rangers Bull pen. Look for him to repeat his success in the same role as last season.
