The Texas Rangers took care of the Houston Astros this weekend, beating them two out of three times, but really they should have beaten them all three games. Adrian Beltre went on the disabled list as of yesterday, Kevin Kouzmanoff and Josh Wilson are playing lights out right now, and Martin Perez is a beast! All in all it was good weekend for the Texas Rangers as far as pitching and defense goes, but their offense looks like it could use a little help, especially from the high dollar first baseman that the team hired to smash home-runs. Prince Fielder has fallen very short of his expectation so far in 2014, but it is early and he has a lot of time to make it up and start hitting the ball.
The Texas Rangers don’t get a break from the tough pitching either coming up, Seattle will throw three good pitchers at the Texas Rangers over the next four days, Blake Beaven being the only exception. Should be another fun weekend of Texas Rangers baseball!
