The Texas Rangers, led by superstar Prince Fielder, has been less than stellar so for in the 2014 season. They have been pushed around by some hurlers that had no business shutting them down, and also by some who did. But either way, it has not been a very good start to the 2014 season for the Texas Rangers offense.
Than changed, however, over the past few days. The Rangers put up 35 points in the past four games against the Tigers, it had previously taken them 11 games to reach that same numbers of offensive production. The pitching looked good as well overall, especially Nick Martinez who really shut down the Tigers. Is this a sign of things to come for this team? I hope so. They have to square off against the Twins and the Nationals to finish out this tough road trip, and they have to be headed into Minnesota with some confidence built after that series.
If the Texas Rangers are now a young team with a chip on their shoulders, then I like a young team with a chip on their shoulders. They are playing like a baseball team that has nothing to lose, and therefore they are not losing. I look forward to seeing if the Texas Rangers can continue their offensive dominance against the Twins!
