Am I the only one that has little to no confidence for the next two games? The Texas Rangers are sending Scott Baker to the hill tonight in place of Yu Darvish and then tomorrow night we get to see the return of Joe Saunders. The Darvish news was a blow to the team to be sure, and I am not sure that replacing him with Baker is going to go well at all.
I was already unhappy about Joe Saunders going tomorrow, and now I feel like the Texas Rangers will be lucky to get out of the series with a split instead of a series win. The injury bug has been beyond crazy for the toll that it has taken on this team in 2014, and I don’t have an explanation on why it keeps happening to Texas Rangers players, especially while they sleep.
All I know is I now have the feeling that this season is quickly going down the tubes, even though the Texas Rangers are in the middle of a good stretch right now. Good stretches and baseball luck on the field can only last for so long before the luck runs out. This Texas Rangers team has overcome a giant serving of injuries to be over .500 at the moment, and I just don’t know how much longer that luck will hold out.
I would like to think that Darvish is going to be okay, but that is just not the way this season has gone so far for the Texas Rangers. If he is injured, I am probably going to have trouble bringing you readers into the site to read the depressing articles that I will be forced to write!
Either way, I won’t stop watching, and I know that most of you out there won’t stop watching either. So, Darvish or no Darvish, lets go Texas Rangers!
