The Baltimore Orioles are coming to town, or as I like to call them the former Texas Rangers. The Orioles have Nelson Cruz, Darren O’Day, Tommy Hunter and Chris Davis just to name a few former Texas Rangers. They come into Arlington for a three game set, and it should be a good one.
The Texas Rangers are coming off of a very successful 7-4 road trip that included Detroit, Minnesota and Washington D.C. They also start this series after a much needed day of rest. Cruz is having a fantastic season for the Orioles so far, Chris Davis is being his usual self, same with O’Day. Hunter is hurt right now so we will not see him.
I very much expect to see the Rangers succeed in this series against the Orioles, and I think they can take two out of the three games in the series. It really depends on how well Nelson Cruz does at the plate and how the Rangers young pitchers fare against a potent Orioles line up.
As the former Rangers roll in, the current Rangers are starting a nice long homestand. Lets hope that is starts off on the right foot tonight with Joe Saunders on the mound!
