Today, July 4th, is Independence Day, a day we celebrate by eating a whole lot of hot dogs and watching a whole lot of fireworks. We even enjoy an adult beverage or two while we do it. I just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a happy and safe fourth of July and hope that you all enjoy spending time with your friends and family!
The Texas Rangers are not enjoying this road trip so far, having lost the first four games of the trip. They now head to NY to take on the Mets, who I have more faith in right now than I do the Texas Rangers. As I keep saying this is ayoung team, but at some point they need to learn to play baseball, and right now they are not doing that at all. I feel bad for guys like Yu Darvish and Adrian Beltre, who came here to win championships. This team is at least a year away from competing again.
The young guys are gaining experience, but they do not look good doing it. The Texas Rangers need the most help in the bull pen and starting rotation (is it 2005 again?), oh, and they can’t hit either. So lets all enjoy today for the holiday that it is, and watch the Texas Rangers lose another series and realize that this season is now lost.
