The Lone Star series between the Houston Astros vs the Texas Rangers begins Monday night in a three game series at Globe Life Park. The Astros currently own the worst record in baseball, which is not surprising. The Rangers, however, were expected to be more than three games ahead of Houston by this point in the season. The Astros are coming into this series on a seven game losing streak, but the Astros have split the past six games when they were on the Texas Rangers schedule. Rangers tickets for all three games will be very cheap with a series average price of just $25, which is well below Texas’s regular season home average of $60.03.

7/7 – Jarred Cosart vs Miles Mikolas | Avg. Price: $21 | Get-in Price: $2

Rangers tickets for the series opener have an average price of $21 in the secondary market, a 65% drop compared to the home average with a get in price of only $2.  Texas will send right hander Miles Mikolas making just his second start of his career going 5.2 innings and giving up 3 runs in a no decision against Baltimore in his first start.  Mikolas will oppose young Houston right hander Jarred Cosart (8-6) who had an excellent month of June winning four of his five starts but was rocked by Seattle in his most recent outing giving up six runs in five innings.

7/8 – Brad Peacock vs Nick Martinez | Avg. Price: $23 | Get-in Price: $23 | Get-in Price: $3

Rangers vs Astros tickets on July 8 have a current average price of $23, 61.6% below the home average with a get in price of $3.  The featured pitching matchup is Texas right hander Nick Martinez (1-6), making his 12th start of the season.  Martinez has given up 10 runs in his past two starts as he will oppose Houston right hander Brad Peacock (2-5), who is also looking for his first win in some time and now has a 4.38 ERA.

7/9 – Dallas Keuchel vs Yu Darvish | Avg. Price: $28 | Get-in Price: $3

The series finale between the Astros and Rangers has a current secondary market average price of $28, a 33.3% jump compared to the first game and the most expensive ticket of the series, though the get in price is only $3.  Texas will send ace Yu Darvish (8-4) to the mound, who in 16 outings this year has pitched 109 innings with a 2.63 ERA.  Darvish will oppose Houston left hander Dallas Keuchel (8-5) who has gone winless in his past three outings.
