Jurickson Profar is not expected to be on the Texas Rangers opening day roster according to Jeff Wilson of the FWST.

Profar has been passed up by Rougned Odor and is probably going to be the part of some sort of trade if he can play well enough in the minors, or he may even be a part of a trade before the season starts. It appears that his days as the chosen one are no longer upon us. I wish the kid well, and I hope that he can be a productive baseball player again.
The Texas Rangers are talking with Adam Rosales, and it appears that they are interested in bringing him back as a utility guy. Rosales did not knock the cover off of the ball (except for in that one game), but he was a consistent and pretty good utility guy. I hope that he decides to sign with the Rangers.
The Rangers have taken outfielder Delino DeShields Jr. in the rule 5 draft today according to Evan Grant. DeShields was the Astros first round pick in the 2010 draft. DeShields, 22, should have a chance to make the Rangers organization if he works hard enough, something that he has been accused of not doing in the past according to the Evan Grant article.
Ross Wolf, Anthony Bass, and Antoan Richardson have been signed to minor league contracts today with invitations to spring training. Wolf and Bass are both right handed pitchers and Richardson is a outfielder.
The Rangers made a trade for LHP Ross Detwiler today according to T. R. Sullivan. Detwilder has worked as both a reliever and a starter for the Washington Nationals, and the belief is that he will get a chance to compete for the starting rotation going into spring training. The Rangers traded two minor league players for him, believed to be infielder Chris Bostick and Abel De Los Santos, a pitcher.
Believe reports of INF Chris Bostick and P Abel De Los Santos to Washington for Detwiler are accurate. Medicals still have to be reviewed

And that is what I know right now. Go Rangers.
