The Texas Rangers took 6 pitchers out of the ten they picked up, three infielders and 1 outfielder. They did not draft anyone from Texas. How many will sign is yet too be seen, but the Rangers first pick Cole Ragans has said he plans to sign with the team.
The MLB draft is very different from the NFL draft in that the players drafted will not be seen at the major league level fo quite a few years yet, especially since the Texas Rangers drafted several high school students. We look forward to covering these players as they begin their journey into professional baseball.
