Just Keep Winning

The Texas Rangers are playing some good ball right now and winning again. They are 6-4 in their last ten games. They have won their last two series. They lead the league in come from behind wins. In July their starters have an ERA of 4.17. Their bullpen is also playing much better. The trades have worked out pretty well so far.

Up next, the Texas Rangers have to face off against a Detroit team that is fighting for a division lead. Right now, they are sitting four games behind Cleveland for the division lead. Then they face off against the Athletics. The Rangers have had trouble with the last place A’s this season, and they need to end that. The Rangers are 4-6 against Oakland.

This team is built to win. They have the talent of both sides of the ball, and I like their chances of winning the West at least. Seattle is playing great right now, the Astros are still close. The Rangers are now at the point of the season where they need to be able to beat the teams that they are supposed to beat.

Yu Darvish and Cole Hamels have pitched well, but have received no run support. That needs to change. It has been, and I believe that it will continue. Is this team good enough to do something special this season? I think they are. They just need to keep winning. If the Rangers finish the season only winning half of the games they have left, they would finish with 91 wins. That to me is encouraging.
