With an ERA of 7.22, an run scoring average of 5 per game, and (except for one game) an all around poor performance, the Texas Rangers are glad to get out of New York. Let’s not forget that the Rangers scored 12 in one of those game. They were beat down by the New York Yankees.
The Rangers are not a great team in 2018, but they are starting to show some promise on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Pitching still has to come around. In August (just 11 games) they have surrendered 62 runs. The only saving grace has been the fact that they have scored 82 runs in that same period. But in NY, the Rangers were outscored 26-20.
The Rangers did not play well in the Bronx, they were playing a team on pace to win 100 plus games. I can only imagine they are glad to have NY in their rear view mirror.
The Rangers now come home to face off against The Diamondbacks and Angels before hitting the road again. Arizona is first in the NL West, and the Angels are a .500 ball club. The club has played better at home this season for sure, so I am hoping a little home cooking will get them back on the winning track. I would like to see them get back to scoring the kind of runs they were before NY.
