The Texas Rangers have made former Ranger and MLB All-Star Eric Gagne as their AAA bullpen Coach. He joint the franchise in 2018 as a pitching coach for the rookie Arizona League.
The former Ranger will man the duties of bullpen coach for the Rangers new AAA affiliate, and new director of players development Matt Blood is excited about it.
“We felt it was a creative way to utilize Gagne’s experience and passion for preparing pitchers to enter games and get outs” Blood said according to the Dallas news.
Gagne has a ton of bullpen experience and should be a big help to the young pitchers trying to learn how to be effective coming in a game in high pressure situations.
