Where the Rangers Stand Today

The Texas Rangers are getting a new ballpark to start the 2020 baseball season. Looks to be a pretty nice ballpark. While I am still sad about Globe Life Park being no more, I think I will eventually get used to the new park, probably in less time than I thought I would.

The Rangers have not been quiet this off-season, acquiring several pitchers. They are also still in the hunt for a third-baseman. Looking around the American League West, the Rangers stack up pretty well pitching wise with the other franchises in their division. Here is the career ERA for the starting rotation for each Franchise:

Texas Rangers – 4.06

LA Angels – 4.13

Oakland Athletics – 3.87 (But they only have 4 starters listed as of this post)

Seattle Mariners – 4.52

Houston Astros – 3.66

No surprise that the Astros are the top ERA in the division, but the Rangers are close to 4 for the career of their projected five starters. That is not bad. I

We know that they can hit as well. Names like Joey Gallo, Shin Soo Choo, Elvis Andrus and Danny Santana all were good at the plate in 2019. They are still looking for help at third.

So how do you feel about this team going into 2020? Are they going to be better that 2019? The same? Worse? Let me know in the comment section down below or on Facebook or Twitter.
