The Frisco RoughRiders, the Rangers future, is having a really good 2021 campaign. They are currently sitting at 32-16, miles ahead of the next team in the division (San Antonio 23-25). Some Rangers prospects are shining and some have already been moved other places.
Offense
The Riders offense has been on fire. Josh Jung has been brilliant since returning from injury, batting .293/.341/.537 with 3 home runs and 12 RBI in just 10 games played. Ryan Dorrow, who has since been called up to AAA, was batting .333./394/.600 with 5 home runs and 15 RBI in 24 games played. Other offensive standouts include Ranger Report Podcast interviewees Josh Stowers (leads the team in home runs)and Bubba Thompson (6 homers and 20 RBI) as well as Steele Walker, who has hit seven out and leads the team in RBI with 29.
Pitching
Cole Winn (2-3, 2.27 ERA) highlights a great rotation including Jake Latz (1-0, 4.09 ERA), AJ Alexy (3-0, 0.93 ERA) and Hans Crouse, who has been really good of late. The bullpen has been really good overall. Names like Joe Gatto (0.98 ERA), Stephen Villines (2.13 ERA), and Cole Uvila (2.45 ERA) have helped the team get to the record they currently have.
Also, The RoughRiders have won 10 in a row. Six of those were against the second place team. For Rangers fans who are disappointed with the major league club in 2021, I recommend going to some Frisco games. You won’t be sorry.
A bright future is in the minors now for the Texas Rangers. Many of those players are in Frisco. Jung is the Rangers number one prospect. Cole Winn is the Rangers number three prospect. Hans Crouse, Davis Wendzel, Sherten Apostel and Anderson Tejada are all in the top ten as well. Don’t lose hear Rangers fans, the future is bright!
