Neftali Feliz and Tommy Hunter are no longer hurt, and will be starting a rehab assignment on Wednesday. Feliz, according to sources, should be ready to go Friday against the Yankees back in Arlington, but Hunter still has a little while before he will be ready. He is pitching without pain, but is scheduled to throw just 3 to 4 innings on Wednesday. Also, he will need to practice more on fielding his position to make sure his injury is completly healed.
If Matt Harrison continues to pitch as poorly as he did in his last two outings, the Rangers are going to need Hunter to be ready fast. Have you lost faith in Harrison? Have you lost faith in the bullpen? What is up with the defense? And Why is the offense so streaky right now? These are a lot of questions, I know, and I do not have an answer for them, but I sure hope the Rangers do have an answer to them. This Seattle series is big, in my opinion. The Rangers HAVE to take two out of three, but they need to sweep Seattle. They do not have to face King Felix in this series, but it will still be hard to sweep Seattle in a ballpark where HR’s are hard to come by. I will have a preview of that series later on today. The Rangers need to turn this thing around fast. It is not time to panic yet, but it is time to fret!!
