Neftali will be back with the Rangers and ready to go on Friday against the NY Yankees. Feliz started a game at Frisco and struck out 3 batters. It took him 22 pitches. For me, this is a great news. The Rangers need that closer back to solidify things.
Also, Mark Lowe has returned from AAA ball to replace struggling RHP Pedro Strop. Strop has great stuff, he is just having trouble locating any of those pitches. Lowe went down to work on some things, and the Rangers and Lowe believe that he did that and is ready to be productive for the Rangers in the bullpen.
Josh Hamilton has been cleared to start swinging the bat again according to team sources. This is ahead of schedule, and this is great news for Ranger fans seeing the struggles the Rangers offense has had lately. Cruz is now listed as day to day.
For all of the people who are freaking out about the way the Rangers are playing right now: a reminder, they had the same record at this point last season and they had the same bullpen troubles, except that in 2010 their starting pitching was not as good as it has been this season so far.
