The starting pitching is out of this world right now for the Texas Rangers. Now if this so called high powered offense could knock in some runs, that would be great. Lets hope they can do that this weekend against the Royals.
Friday, May 27, 2011 – Lewis (4-5, 3.59 ERA) v. Adcock (1-0, 1.66 ERA)
Colby has been very good in his last few starts, and I think that will continue. The way Adcock is pitching and the way the Rangers offense is hitting right not, this may be a tough game for the Rangers to win. They have a good chance to get back on track this weekend playing the Royals and all, and I think they will. Look for the Rangers to score often tonight and take this game 7-3.
Saturday, May 28, 2011 – Harrison (4-4, 3.62 ERA) v O’Sullivan (2-3, 5.60 ERA)
Matt Harrison looked really good against the Phillies in his last outing, and I hope the good Matt continues this game. He has a chance to be a great starter for the Rangers if he could just control those bad games and not have as many of them. I have always liked Matt’s stuff, I just do not trust him every time I see him take the mound. I don’t know why, but I feel like Moreland is going to have a big game Saturday, so I say the Rangers take this one 5-2.
Sunday, May 27, 2011 – Ogando (5-0, 1.81 ERA) v Duffy (0-0, 3.86 ERA)
Ogando has been the Rangers best pitcher so far, heck, I think he may have been one of the best pitchers in all of the AL so far! I look for Ogando to continue being dominate against a KC team that is not exactly stroking the ball at the moment. Look for Ogando to have another 10 or so strikeout game, and look for the Rangers to hit Duffy well the second time through the rotation. I look for a Ranger sweep in this series. I think it is time for the offense to take off!
