The buzz is out there today about Jim Thome possibly being a Texas Ranger. The problem that I see is that Thome is a left handed batter, and I think the Rangers might want a righty for when Young is at 1st base to replace Moreland and face tough left handed pitching. But, Thome is a veteran that can hit any pitcher well. He has a career .278 batting average, and he also averages 40 HR per 162 games The Rangers could use a guy like that. The buzz is out there and it is being reported that the Rangers are interested, I will let you know if any more developments occur on Thome.
