After a lockout that lasted much longer than it needed to be baseball returns! Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association fought and pointed fingers for 99 days before finally coming to an agreement.
Negotiations took longer than expected to start and they were very contentious at times, but professional baseball will be played all around the country again. Now if they could have avoided all the finger pointing and angry press conferences it would not have taken so long.
Even with the return of baseball, some fans will not return to the sport right away if at all. Both sides have done damage to their own bottom line.
Celebrate
But today is not the day to debate that (finally). We now can celebrate the return of major league baseball. Now here at the Ranger Report we still plan on covering the Minor Leagues from top to bottom for you all.
It will be nice to have something else to talk about as well. The trade market should be a flurry of activity like we have never seen before over the next few weeks.
Sit back and relax baseball fans. baseball returns and it will be glorious.
I can’t wait to start watching spring games and doing all of the things that we love to do on this site and the podcast.
Player watches, position battles, injury reports and surprise signings.
All of it will now start in earnest and we will be here to cover it for you. Spring training, and then the season will be now starting up in earnest.
Watch for the Ranger to quickly add players to their roster, we should have another article up soon about who the Rangers should add now that the lockout is over.
Thanks for sticking with us during the whole lockout thing, We really do appreciate the support during all of this.
