The Rangers do not like being shut out, and I believe that they proved it tonight. They have come back with a passion tonight and scored 20 runs against the Twins. Not to be over looked in this game:
1. Derek Holland pitched a great game.
2. Chris Davis was terrible in the field and at the plate.
Derek’s last start was not so good, but I like the fact that in a game that it would be very easy for Derek to lose his focus, he did not and he held the Twins to just 1 unearned run (thanks to Chris Davis error). Again, the pen came in and did not look too hot, but I am still not sure about the Rangers trading prospects. I do not know if they will be able to trade Davis at this point, and i don’t want to give up Murph. Oh, and I officialy do not like Arthur Rhodes. Just saying.
I don’t think the Rangers are going to score 20 runs in very many games this season, so they better get a pen that does not allow 3 plus runs in 2 innings of work. But I will say, this has been a fun game to watch. I look forward to seeing what the Rangers will do tomorrow night behind C.J. Wilson.
