An open letter to the Texas Rangers from the Ranger Report:
Dear Texas Rangers Baseball Organization,
We here at TRR are huge fans and would love to see our beloved team return to the post season with a chance to win again, kind of like last season. I am sure you have noticed, like all of us have, that the Angels are not going away, and that you bull pen gives up a lot of runs. Your shut down guys have become your please sit down guys. That is why we decided to write an open letter to the Texas Rangers Organization asking that you make a trade for Heath Bell of the Padres. I am not saying he is the only option you can pick up, but I know he could help and we would all fell better about the inconsistency of Neftali Feliz if you had a Heath Bell that could step in at any time as a veteran closer and help out. You have tried Darren Oliver and Arthur Rhodes in that role, and they were inconsistent at best. You tried Mark Lowe, and he blew it. I do not recomend trying Tatiyama, he is just not intimidating looking enough. So, We implore you, We have 5 center fielders right now, and 3 of them (Hamilton, Gentry and Chavez) already at the major league level, and 2 more (Borbon and Martin) at Round Rock. You have plenty of prospects. Now, do not get me wrong, I do not want you to trade away a bunch of good prospects, but I feel that our need is now, and some of those guys are not the future of the franchise (Borbon, Chavez). We need relief help. Getting rid of Dave Bush was a good first step, and I am hopeful that Feldman and Hunter will work out, but I do not want to hang a postseason run on them.
In conclusion, I do believe that you will make this trade happen, and I would like to thank you for taking our advice into consideration. We here at TRR want nothing but years of sucess for your organization, and we know that you will not disappoint.
