The Texas Rangers are now 20 games over .500 for the first time since 1999. They also have a 7 game lead after winning another come from behind game. They have 1 game left against the Angels tonight. They beat the unbeatable Ervin Santana last night, so I am excited to see what they can do against the angry Weaver tonight. The Rangers now have 72 wins, just 2 behind the two best teams ever (courtesy ESPN) Boston and NY. The Rangers are not the same team that they were last season, they are better in my opinion. They do not have a true ace, but they have one of the best overall rotation in all of baseball, with all 5 pitchers being over 10 wins. Their offense is hot right now, and they seem to love to come from behind an awful lot. I am really excited about the last 38 games of the season.
The Rangers tonight have a chance to put 8 games between themselves and the Angels with just 37 games left. I know anything can happen, but I do not believe that is very likely that the Angels will be able to overcome that. If the Rangers just go .500 for the rest of the year, they will still win 91 games, and I think that they will do better than .500 for the rest of the season. Call me crazy, but I think this team can win 95 -97 games before it is all said and done. I hope I am right. Don’t forget to stay up late with the Rangers tonight!
