Okay, so we all know two things: that the Red Sox have struggled so far this season against the Rangers, and that both teams are going to be in the post season. We are not sure yet who is going to win the East, but we are sure that we will play either the Yankees or the Red Sox in the first round of the playoffs. I am kind of hoping that it is the Red Sox, and here is why:
So far the series has gone this way, they have played 4 games (the 5th is in progress), and the Rangers have won, and dominated all 4 of them. The Rangers have out pitched, out hit and played as good defense as the Red Sox. They seem to have a confidence about them when they play the Red Sox this year. There is a down side tonight (besides tonights game so far). The Rangers have not played the Sox in Boston yet this season. The Rangers, historically, have not played well at all at Fenway Park. That will have to change if they want to advance to the ALCS for the second straight year. Also, the Angels are not going away so the Rangers cannot let up.
This has been a great season to watch so far, and I look forward to seeing how quickly the Rangers can seal up the West and get ready to play the Red Sox again!
